Yay for good holidays and a good New Year! (OMG Japanese food. Actually, I'm just kind of hungry right now. I have no idea what the difference between a duvet or comforter is. Are quilts the ones where the stitching goes through and there's no cover? And none of the above are sleeping bags. Now I'm tempted to write some sort of thesaurus!overuse fic where the bedding is described in florid, slightly incorrect detail the whole way through...) Sorry to hear that your teachers are being sucky =( Hope things get better soon *snugs!*
Ahh, I hate university applications so much. I think the grad school applications ended up making more sense than the university ones. I will keep my fingers crossed and send soothing thoughts your way! You're definitely getting there one step at a time!
Yeah, that knee surgery description sounds pretty terrifying. It's always different when you realize that the doctor is about to do what they're describing *to you* @_@ On the other hand, it sounds like the doctor went into detail and covered all the bases and complications, which is usually a good sign of someone who knows what they're doing/has experience/really wants the patient to understand everything involved so they can be informed. Unless they were giving you skeevy/I-know-better-than-you vibes during the appointments or something, in which case, trust your gut feeling. Here's hoping everything goes smoothly and the happy drugs actually make it easier to get through applications!
Glad that your kitty is ok! She doesn't look too evil in the picture, but then again, the hissiest, clawiest cat I know looks like an absolute angel as long as you don't try to play/pet/otherwise engage with her :p
Yeah, if fandom/the people and stuff I follow ever make the move elsewhere, I would probably follow, especially after all the formatting changes on LJ. On the other hand, even after LJ fandom fragmented/migrated to other sites, the bulk of the stuff I want to keep up with still seems to be on LJ. The other supposed hubs of activity are mostly on sites that give me a bigger headache than LJ/don't actually provide the sort of interactions or information I would be interested in.
