Sometimes you get the munchies at really inappropriate hours. Like midnight. So you go to the kitchen and whip up a strange, macabre version of roti telur bawang (bread+egg+onions). Then flatmate number one comes in and puts the fear of god into you by telling you she is not in any way shape or form prepared for her exam on Monday. She says there might be tears during the examination.

You, do not, need to hear talk about tears. You already had a mini breakdown (with tears kthx) a few hours prior (abetted magnificently by [livejournal.com profile] uvrainbow  )(because shit happens). So you smile and nod and exclaim in all the right places, feeling sick to your stomach.

But, still hungry. So you carry on making your awesome dish, and flatmate number two comes in. The astrophysicist :> And because despite all odds she has flattered your cooking, you offer her some of your roti (while making a standard disclaimer that the roti is undercooked ;~; ).

Because you went a little trigger happy when you were chopping the onions, you had to make twice the portion you would've been able to eat. So you invite your astrophysicist to what is sortof a very late tea-party. She served us orange juice, and we nommed and chatted. Why do we have funny faces on facebook pictures? How do you cook food that taste so nice? There's a school trip to Amsterdam; to go, or not to go?

This dissolved into a conversation about drugs, then about school, then about swimming.

And now it's one thirty in the morning and you feel bizarrely cheerful, despite the utterly miserable mood you were in just a few hours earlier :>

This sounds so much like a videogame for some reason when I read it out in my head... Meh. Ladies, if you ever come over, I will roti telur your bawang <3

:>

Hey, everyone. It's been a long absence (over a month!) because once again I got convinced that my brain was a lot smarter than I was. A lot of desperately, desperately brilliant things happened as well as some pretty crap things and it'd suck if I didn't write it down. Don't want to forget all of it, ten years from now. Or twenty, even. It's almost-mid-December, and I'm recapping from November. Er. November 3rd onwards, since I've covered Liverpool.

Liverpooooool <3

I am also currently deeply involved in a one-sided unrequited love with Iron Chef. A challenger won today. I am chilling out under the table to deal with the loss. Lies. I am chilling out under the table because working on the table at night means that I'm using the ceiling light. Direct contact with the ceiling light leaves me distinctly unhappy. Don't know why \o/
Quite a lot of pictures. Hello, November, how did you do? :) )

A couple of quick notes.

- I didn't finish my NaNoWriMo. Didn't even come close. Partly, I think I was a little busy in November. Mostly, though. The story just didn't seem to want to be written. Sorry especially to sekitx2 ;~; You gave me a gorgey e-gift.

I replied with PAIN.

I didn't even wish you a happy birthday ;~; I wasn't at home on the day, and forever afterward felt too ashamed to say anything. You're quite marvelous, so have as sincere a Happy Belated Birthday! as can be beget, almost mid-December.

I bloody did it. With like, detrimental effects on my life, but those things can go make love to themselves, because this is the ultimate catch-uo.

OVER 50,000 words, done, and because it would appear that I am a wee bit masochistic, I am going to see how much I can write on the 30th.

You know what's the oddest thing? I wrote at a regular pace last year, but I finished this year's earlier.

Tears of blood, man, tears of blood, this is a sense of accomplishment the likes of which are dampened because I'm exhausted

:D

And look! I can write original characters!
