You've probably already made your choice, but I would personally also vote for room two =) (I dislike being on the first floor and in the middle of high traffic areas of anything. I likes my quiet and being able to choose when and how I want it disrupted, I do :P) Also, if too many people around will become another source of stress (7 is a lot! o.0), well, going to a foreign country is already stressful enough as it is, so no need to add to it by tackling too many things at once ^^;; I also agree with Hakasha that in my experience if people want to avoid each other, there will be ways to do so, and if they want to be friends, time and space will find a way. Though all of the dorms rooms I've been in have been ones where four people share the same big room (no real common areas unless you count the two tiles of floor space in the middle of the room surrounded by bunk beds and study desks and tiny side-by-side closets), so I'm not sure how different interactions will be when there are, like, doors and stuff ^^;;
