Water's a killer, right enough

Dear ladies,

It'll be last night in France, tonight. For a week and a half, I think I'm not wrong in saying I did get a lot done. Lots of exercises in common sense, patience and bravery, lots of travel of a most epic nature, and lots of getting to know my sister better.

All good things, one way or another. It's been a surreal week and a bit, and while there were moments where I wished I'd not come at all, it's been fantastic.

France has grown on me. It's not what I expected, at least not this little village I'm in. It's expensive, the savoury foods are mostly non-appealing, the weather has been strangely subdued in Toulouse these past few days, and a language barrier is a tough thing to overcome. But it's pretty, the people are kind (if not friendly), there're roses everywhere, the fruits are so sweet-smelling it's a huge shocker, the supermarkets are well-stocked with fine things, and at the end of the day, it's always good to see other places. I'm sorry that my sister isn't having a gorgeous time, but she does realise that remove the miserable working conditions, it's a decent place to be in if only it had easier access to the internet

All very introspective, am I right? Which isn't unexpected. I've had a lot of time in my own head on this vacation, you see.

I am quite possibly a little bit sunburnt from our romp of the Mediterranean yesterday and the day before.

My sister's classmate (who's also doing his training here) is planning a feast for tonight, as a final farewell (before we meet again back home~). Oooh, I've also managed to get kitchen skills! It's a self-contained unit, how we keep ourselves fed here, so I've played a (minor) role in cleaning up and prep-work. I think I've gotten better at chopping vegetables, at least. If you know how I usually cook, you'll know this is an achievement.

The thing of greatest importance today for me is to figure out how and where to get my boarding pass for the flight home tomorrow to get printed. I did try to think of how to mime 'to print', but I'm afraid I'd get arrested for public indecency, or something. 's fine. We'll endeavour as best we can, yeah? Oh, and my water bottle leaked on my way here. Being prudent (paranoid) I'd wrapped my laptop in plastic while I was still at the apartment, to guard against a sudden shower. My wallet's soaked, but as you can infer, at least my laptop is still working~

It's supposed to rain heavily today, and I'm fourty minutes from home base 8D Clouds are grey and upset-looking, but babes, I'm in the South of France in summer. Can't complain; there's hardly a nicer place to be in Malaysia for example ahem

I reckon the next time I get online I'll be in my room in my dorm, so there should be longer posts with pictures when next we meet~

Au revoir, mademoiselles, si.
